Residential care

The modern and clean home consists of
35 en-suite single bedrooms, spacious
large communal lounges, private sitting
areas, sun room and dining areas, plus a large landscaped garden!

Everyday a tasty selection of home cooked food is prepared for residents, along with a fun-filled social activity plan.

Personal items can be brought in to the home; curtains, photos and bed linen.

Stunning gardens

Upminster Nursing Home has a large,
well-maintained beautiful garden.

As part of our service improvement the
garden has been designed by a dementia specialist to ensure the garden is accessible to all.

Features within the garden include pullout flower baskets so that residents can partake in gardening activities, seating areas and a beautiful water feature.

Fun activities

Residential clients are provided with an
excellent range of activities on a daily
basis. Although residents do not have to
take part, we try to encourage everyone
to participate. Activities include craftmaking classes, such as making Christmas cards and art pieces. Residents’ craft work is hung proudly around our homes.

Comfortable rooms

Our rooms are freshly decorated, well
maintained and kept warm, clean and
cosy. Each room features a hospital style
bed, but feels more like a homely
bedroom. Residents are encouraged to
bring in their personal items; curtains,
photos and bed linen. Some rooms in our Upminster home have beautiful views.

Entertainment/BBQs

When the weather allows we hold BBQs in the garden, which are attended by residents, friends and families and by our staffing team. We also have entertainers visit the home; wonderful singers who know all the classics – a good opportunity for residents to do some dancing or have a sing-a-long!

Freshly prepared food

We do not buy pre-prepared food, as
many residential homes do. Our food
is cooked in-house, which means we
can offer a varied menu and suit it to
the residents' dietary requests. We also
offer a seasonal menu. And, every
afternoon, fresh cakes are prepared in
our kitchen, perfect with a cup of tea.
